Nena and Pasadena
Established in 2009, Nena and Pasadena is a menswear brand out of Melbourne, Australia.
Founded by Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin after collaborating with one of Australia’s leading menswear labels, the brand is best known for its innovative graphic prints and somewhat explicit designs.
Lance Franklin (professional Australian footballer) spotted a gap in the menswear market which he aspired to fill. I doubt Franklin realised the small steps he was taking towards producing his clothing line, would ultimately be a huge leap into the fashion industry.
Designed with momentum to push all fashion boundaries, Nena & Pasadena t-shirts feature controversial slogans such as ‘Risk it all Tonight’ and ‘Start from Strangers’ with equally graphic images to accompany. If you’re a fan of the brand but not into some of the more racy tees, check out the rest of the range as N&P pride themselves on producing clothing for any occasion.
Subsequential to the launch back in 2009, the clothing began to seriously emerge in the urban/ streetwear scene. It didn’t take long before celebrity personalities such as JLS star; Aston Merrygold, MTV’s Gaz Beadle and many others were keen to endorse and promote the clothing in exchange for freebies and samples.
Although predominantly a men’s clothing brand, the label became an instant hit with the opposite sex. With model Tess O’Reilly often photographed wearing the clothing; it became clear that Nena and Pasadena had become a name to remember.
Nena and Pasadena clothing can be purchased through various online retailers and clothing stores across the country, for example, fashion retailer – Thomas Gun.
Thomas Gun has been at the cutting edge of fashionable street wear since 1982 and have a very active presence in social media. Thomas Gun pride themselves on spotting the latest thing and are always sure to stock the most desirable menswear brands.
